Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about Sandesh — anonymous letters, private inbox, and your free link.

What is Sandesh?

Sandesh is a free anonymous messaging app. You get a personal link on sandeshapp.in — friends send compliments, confessions, ratings, and game prompts to your private inbox without revealing who they are (unless they choose to leave a hint).

Is Sandesh really anonymous?

Yes. Senders don't need an account to drop a Sandesh. Recipients see the message in a private inbox. Optional sender hints and name-reveal tiers are entirely up to the sender — you can stay fully sealed or peel the stamp a little.

How do I create my Sandesh link?

Sign in with your phone number or Google at sandeshapp.in/login, claim a username, and share your link. It takes about a minute and it's free.

Can I see who sent a message?

Only if the sender left clues or chose to reveal their name. Many Sandesh arrive fully anonymous. Technical clues (device, time of day) may appear in your inbox but don't identify a person.

Is Sandesh safe and kind?

Sandesh is built for positive messages — compliments, encouragement, and fun games. We filter abusive language on send, and you control your inbox: archive, pin, reply publicly to kind ones, or delete anything you don't want.

Can I use Sandesh on my phone?

Yes. Sandesh works in any mobile browser and can be installed to your home screen like an app (PWA). Push notifications alert you when a new Sandesh arrives.

What are Sandesh games and battles?

Prompts like Rate Me, Ship Us, and Truth or Dare turn your link into a mini game. Sandesh Battles let friend groups compete on who gets the most messages in a time window.
